Jeff Somerville, MBA, FCIP │ Canadian Markets Practice Leader

Jeff Somerville joined One80 as part of the Strategic Underwriting Managers acquisition. This was One80’s first transaction in Canada and with that Jeff now sits on the leadership team as the Canada Markets Practice Leader. In this role he is responsible for growing new and existing insurance programs, developing carrier and broker relationships throughout Canada, and leading the Canada based team with offices in both Toronto and Montreal.

Jeff was founder and President of SUM Insurance since its establishment in 2011. Prior to this he was Vice President for Elliott Special Risk LLP, then a major Canadian MGA, where he led the Commercial General Liability practice. Jeff began his insurance career 25 years ago and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada (FCIP), RIBO designated principal broker and completed his MBA at the Ivey School of Business University of Western Ontario in 2009.
